This is the hand of our pit tech, Sandi.  You can't really tell from the picture, but
she had to get stitches after slicing her hand open while making one of our "Metal"
pit instruments.  The things teachers do for their students.... :-)

There was a diner near the school that we stayed at.  In classic pit style, we ate lunch there.  Here you see Jamey after we dared him to eat a foot long sub in 2 bites.  As you'll see, this is a recurring theme throughout the summer.  We dare Jamey to do something crazy, relating to food, and he does it.  Gotta love him!

In my 3 years of drum corps, this has got to have been the craziest day that I can remember.  The corps arrived back at the school from a morning parade, and found a big group of Rastafarians on our ensemble field.  As it turns out, they had a cricket tournament scheduled for that day, and refused to let us line the field.  Of course, us being drum corps people, started lining the field anyway.  After all, we had a show that night!  Well.... that didn't make our friendly Rastafarians very happy.  Apparently, cricket is a pretty important game to them.  They let us know that the game of cricket utilizes heavy bats and balls, and that they knew how to use them (they may have put this a little differently, I can't remember :-D).  Both sides held their ground for a while, but in the end, we didn't get the field.  I still think we could've taken them...

This is a group of us on the subway in Boston.  We were on our way to Harvard Square.
